Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 8, 2026
DeepLarynx is made by Replica Health Co. (“Replica,” “we,” “us”). Your voice is about as personal as data gets, so this policy tries to be plain about what stays on your device and what doesn't.
What stays on your device
Live conversion. When you speak through DeepLarynx — in calls or conversation — your speech is processed entirely on your device. The models run locally, no audio is sent to our servers, and live conversion works with no internet connection at all.
Your voice bank. Recordings you add to build a voice are processed on your device to create that voice.
What is sent to us
Practice mode. When you use Practice, the sentences you record are sent to our servers. We use them to score intelligibility and to train and improve DeepLarynx's models. If you don't want practice recordings leaving your device, don't use Practice mode — everything else works without it.
Your account. If you sign in, we receive the name and email address from your sign-in provider, and we store the settings and practice progress associated with your account.
Messages you send us. If you email us (for example, for early access or support), we receive what you send.
We may also collect basic diagnostic information — crash reports and app-version details — to keep the software working.
How we use it
- To provide DeepLarynx and keep your voices and progress available to you.
- To score your practice and improve the models that reconstruct speech, using practice recordings.
- To respond when you contact us.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use your recordings for advertising.
- We do not use your voice-bank recordings to build voices for anyone else.
Sharing
We use service providers (such as cloud hosting) to run our servers; they process data on our behalf and under our instructions. We may disclose information if required by law, or as part of a business transfer, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.
Retention and deletion
Practice recordings are kept while they are useful for scoring and model training. To delete your practice recordings, your account, or anything else we hold about you, email admin@replica.health and we will handle it.
Children
DeepLarynx is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change meaningfully expands what leaves your device, we will say so clearly in the app.
